Who’s skinnier - Paris or Nicky Hilton?

Here’s a really sad case of sibling rivalry - the Hilton sisters are having a competition, and it’s not about who has the most successful career, who has the coolest boyfriend, not even who wears the nicest clothes. It’s all about weight, and who’s thinner.

Not until long ago, all the tabloids were talking about how Nicky Hilton was wasting away. Well, apparently Paris can’t stand being second, so she’s trying to become bonier than her sister just to get back in the limelight.

I would do a poll, but I think it’s obvious from these pictures that Nicky is still the skinniest sister.

If you’ve been reading other gossip blogs, you might have noticed that these days everyone is picking apart Mischa Barton’s body. While it may be true that she has gained a few pounds lately, I think that’s really her problem, and if she’s OK with showing off her fuller figure in a backless dress, then good for her!

I think we’re so used to seeing pictures of celebrities’ bony bodies, that whenever we see a normal one like Mischa’s, words like “fat” immediately come to our mind. But let’s not forget that this is not fat - she’s actually skinnier than most “normal” people anyway!

Kate Beckinsale talks about her diet and body image in Elle UK magazine

Posing in a very sexy photoshoot for the December 2008 issue of British Elle magazine, Kate Beckinsale opened up about Hollywood’s obsession with size, her body image, current diet and exercise habits.

“I’m amazed that people obsess over my body image so much. Why do we encourage this war on women’s bodies? It’s a horrendous way to live, and I refuse to.” Kate, who stars in the upcoming drama “Nothing But the Truth“, says she now has a much healthier view of her body, which she once described as ‘a twig with a bum and small breasts’. “I’m entirely normal. I have my good days and my bad days. I am a lot more body confident now I’m in my thirties, and am in better shape, too.”

Kate, who suffered from anorexia when she was a teenager, is now happy in her own skin. She also eats a healthy diet, allowing herself a sweet treat once in a while (she likes cupcakes!).

“I didn’t have a clue about healthy eating when I was in my twenties – I’d eat a small breakfast and lunch and then have a baked potato for dinner and feel really horrible. Now my typical daily diet is eggs or oatmeal for breakfast, a chicken or vegetable wrap for lunch, then fish and vegetables for dinner. But if someone turns up with cupcakes mid-afternoon, I’ll have one. I’m not aiming to be Gisele. And I’d hate to be one of those people who won’t allow themselves a slice of birthday cake.”

Kate also confessed that she hates exercising in public, and that’s why she has her own gym in her garage at home.

Paris Hilton got scary skinny by doing Pilates?

Paris Hilton was always thin, but now she looks skinnier than ever. When asked about her emaciated frame, Paris blamed the launch of her latest fragrance for it - she said she wanted to look her best and started doing Pilates.

The socialite is getting ready to launch her latest scent, Fairy Dust, and she wants to look her best.

She says, “I didn’t have to lose weight, but I just wanted to look really good. I started doing Pilates.” [Source]
