Naomi Campbell was banned from Nelson Mandela’s 90th birthday concert
Even though she’s helping raise awareness of Africa (taking place in the “African Rising” events around the world), Naomi Campbell is not welcome to one of Africa’s greatest men, Nelson Mandela’s 90th birthday concert.
Naomi was supposed to be a presenter at the concert that will take place this weekend in London, but Mandela decided to take her off the presenters list because of her recent airport arrest.
A source close to the event said: ‘The man himself intervened and she was pulled off the list. He was disappointed with her recent arrest - particularly as she was wearing a 46664 baseball cap at the time.’
This was Mr Mandela’s prison number-during his 27-year sentence and now promotes his AIDS awareness campaign. [Source]
